Wordipity
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 13, 2026
Wordipity is a strategy word game developed by Octet Software ("we", "us", or "our"). This policy explains what information the game does and does not handle.
1. Information we collect
Wordipity does not require an account and does not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or contacts.
- On-device game data — your high scores, statistics, and settings are stored locally on your device so the game remembers them. This information is not transmitted to us.
- Diagnostics — if you have enabled sharing of diagnostic data with developers in your device settings, Apple may provide us with anonymous, aggregated crash reports to help us fix bugs. This does not identify you.
- Advertising data — to keep the game free, Wordipity shows ads through Google AdMob. To deliver and measure those ads, AdMob and Google may collect information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, approximate location (derived from IP), and app-usage and diagnostic data. See Advertising below.
2. Game Center (optional)
Wordipity offers Game Center leaderboards for high scores. If you choose to use them, that feature is provided through Apple's Game Center and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. Your Game Center identity is managed by Apple, not by us.
3. Purchases
Any purchases are processed by the Apple App Store under Apple's terms and privacy policy. We do not receive or store your payment details.
4. Advertising
Wordipity is free and supported by occasional full-screen (interstitial) ads served through Google AdMob, a Google advertising service. To deliver, cap, and measure those ads, AdMob and Google may process information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, approximate location (derived from your IP address), and app-usage and diagnostic data. We do not control what Google collects through AdMob; its handling of that data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
On iOS, if we use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) to personalize ads, we will first ask your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can decline, and you can change your choice anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. If you don't allow tracking, you'll still see ads, but they'll be less personalized.
Removing ads: you can permanently remove ads with a one-time in-app purchase ("Remove Ads"). It's tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on your devices.
5. Children's privacy
Wordipity is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. Because the free version shows ads through Google AdMob, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and we configure ad requests to reflect that the app is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at the address below and we will delete it.
6. Changes to this policy
If our data practices ever change, we will update this policy and revise the "Last updated" date above.
