Privacy Policy

SpeedMaxxer is an Apple Watch app from Octet Software ("we", "us", or "our"). This policy explains how the app handles your information.

Location

With your permission, SpeedMaxxer uses location readings during a run to estimate live speed and distance. The app does not save a map or route in its run history. You can change location permission in your device's Privacy & Security settings; speed and distance depend on location access and signal quality.

Motion and Apple Health

With permission, SpeedMaxxer uses motion data to count steps and requests access to Health step data and permission to save workouts and walking/running distance. When a workout is saved, Apple Health manages that data under your Health settings and Apple's privacy practices. The app requires workout-sharing permission to start tracking.

Run history and settings

Run summaries—including the start time, duration, distance, maximum and average speed, and steps—are stored on the device along with your selected units, target, and all-time maximum. You can delete individual runs in the app's history and clear the all-time maximum in Settings. Deleting the app removes its locally stored data; data already saved to Apple Health is managed separately in the Health app.

Sharing, retention, and choices

SpeedMaxxer does not include accounts, third-party analytics, ads, or a developer-operated service, and we do not receive your location, Health data, or run history through the app. Data remains on your device and in Apple Health until you delete it, subject to your device, backup, and Apple settings. You can change location, motion, and Health permissions in the relevant Apple settings.

If you email support, we receive the information you choose to include and use it to respond. Do not include sensitive Health or location information unless needed to explain the issue.

Apple services and diagnostics

Apple handles App Store downloads and purchases under Apple's Privacy Policy. If you choose to share diagnostics with developers, Apple may provide crash or performance reports under its settings and policies.

Children

SpeedMaxxer has no app accounts, advertising, or analytics. Location, motion, and Health permissions are controlled through Apple devices and their settings.
